Reflections on God's Goodness

Oh God, you are so amazing
I stand in awe of the Great I am
Whatever I need, you are

Thank you for teaching me to look to you
to provide all my needs according to your riches

Forgive me for my thoughts of looking to others
     or to other things to satisfy the
     longings in my heart

There is no other so wise
There is no other so good
There is no other like you, oh God





My soul cries out for you
More and more, I fall in love with you, oh God
Teach me how to love you more

Show me your way, Almighty God
So that I may lead others into your presence
For there is nothing like your presence

Again, oh Lord -- you are awesome
I stand in awe.

My request today is for a stirring
Lord, stir down deep within me
Bring out what needs to be brought out
Blessed redeemer and my prince of peace

Thank you for everything you provide
You alone fill the emptiness inside me and
Make everything new.  

In the beautiful name of Jesus I pray
Amen

Oh Dear Father, the one who rose from the grave,
    The one with the ability to forgive all our sins,
We bow to you tonight and proclaim that you are
    The King of Kings!!!

On this night before we celebrate your resurrection,
We reflect on the only thing you ever borrowed,
   An empty tomb

Lord, we know that because you live,
We can live.

Words cannot express our thoughts tonight.
Only thankfulness and gratefulness for what you did and what you are doing now on Earth.

You are on our minds tonight, Sweet Jesus!
You are on our minds.

Good Friday Prayer

Oh Dear God, my heavenly Father,
Today is filled with sadness,
As I think about the price you paid,
When you sent your son, Jesus
To take our place on a cruel cross,
 At a place called Calvary.

It must have caused you an unthinkable pain,
As you watched your son,
Pay for our sins that day.




We want to tell you today that we love you,
We are so thankful for what you did just for us.
And now we can come boldly into your throneroom
And speak with you, and you can speak to us
Because you gave us the power to become your
     sons and daughters.

We are in such awe of what just one drop of blood
Is capable of doing.
That day, Jesus paid the price forever,
For all mankind.

You said, that you loved us so much, that you gave your only son,
That "whosoever" believes in him, should not perish, but have
      Everlasting life.
You also said that you came that we might have an abundant life.
We thank you with every fiber of our being, oh Heavenly Father.

This day, and always we stand in remembrance of the blood.
And even though it is a sad day, in so many senses, it's bitter/sweet
Because we know what happened on the third day.
Glory be to the Father and his son Jesus.

We thank you today for providing us with all our

Lord, guide us today into all your secret places
You have designed just for us
We listen to your voice and obey
For you, oh God, are worthy of an all consuming obedience and nothing less


We reach out to you in our time of trouble
And know that you are always here
Always with us in our time of need

We are not ashamed to say that we need you
We are not ashamed to stand in the presence of
    all we know and say
The Lord is my shepherd

Teach us the limits of our aspirations
Teach us to be satisfied with every gift your provide
Our desires are more in you than anything this world can provide

We believe that you have a purpose for our lives
Teach us to live in our purpose so that all will know you
For by living in our purpose you shall receive glory
Each day is dedicated to you, Oh King of Kings
